Free Safe Drinking Water Clinic Registration Deadline Friday!
Conewango Creek Watershed Assn. wants to remind the public that the free Safe Drinking Water Clinic registration deadline is Friday Aug 16, 2019 by 4:30 pm. The location is the Warren Conservation Center at 4000 Conewango Ave., Warren, PA. You can register by going online to: https://extension.psu.edu/safe-drinking-water-clinic or by calling the Penn State Cooperative Extension office in Youngsville, PA at 877-345-0691.
This free clinic, put on by Penn State Cooperative Extension in partnership with Conewango Creek Watershed Assn and Warren County Conservation District, will be held at two times on Wed, Aug 21, 2019. The afternoon clinic is from 3 pm to 5 pm and the evening clinic will be held 6 pm to 8 pm. You only need to attend one. Topics will talk about the principles for protecting your private water supply whether it be a spring, cistern, or a well. The basic water quality parameters will be covered as well as how to read a water quality test report.
You will be given directions to bring one water sample per household from your private supply. You will bring this sample with you to the clinic and you will receive some free water quality testing which includes coliform bacteria, pH, Total Dissolved Solids and nitrate.
